This Wild Webinar is a contemporary art history lecture on bio-artists who work with live mushrooms. The talk will include some basic biology while we explain conceptual works that celebrate the lifestyles of some of the most esoteric organisms on earth. The talk will be presented by the Biophilium's director Alexis Williams, an artist and mycophile who has studied mycology for 15 years. Fungal Friends is part of the Ayatana Biophilium's Wild Wednesday Webinar series. All are welcome. You are invited to attend while you eat supper or while you work in the studio. It is perfect for listening to while you paint or knit. You do not have to be an artist to attend. You are invited to join with or without your video. Meetings will be recorded and available for participants for one month after each class. Seminars will be held on Zoom. Participants will receive a link to the meeting the day of.
